Finding the right ring size is essential for both comfort and security. At Nangi, we offer free sizing in our Oslo Showroom, but if you’re unable to visit us, you can easily measure your ring size at home. Here are our best tips to help you find the perfect fit!
Your ring size can fluctuate throughout the day due to temperature and swelling. For the most accurate results, we recommend that you:
1. Measure your finger in the evening, as fingers tend to be slightly larger than in the morning.
2. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as your fingers may be smaller than usual.
3. Measure multiple times to ensure accuracy.
A perfectly fitted ring should:
1. Sit comfortably without feeling too tight.
2. Slide over the knuckle with slight resistance.
3. Not feel too loose – it should not fall off when your hand moves.
Keep in mind that wider rings tend to feel tighter, so you may need to size up for a wide band. Narrow rings fit looser, so you might consider sizing down.
1. Use a Ring You Already Own
- Find a ring that fits the finger you want to wear your new ring on.
- Measure the inner diameter using a ruler or measuring tape.
- Compare the measurement with our ring size chart found further down on this page to determine your correct size.
2. Use a Ring Sizer
We offer a convenient ring sizer that you can use at home. It works like a small belt that you adjust around your finger to determine your size. All Nangi customers can pick up a free ring sizer in our Oslo Showroom, or contact us here to have one sent to you.
3. Use a String or Paper Measurement
- Take a thin string or a paper strip (max 1.4 cm wide).
- Wrap it around the base of your finger and mark where the ends meet.
- Measure the length with a ruler and use our size chart to find your EU ring size.
4. Visit a Local Jeweler
For the most accurate measurement, we recommend visiting a jeweler. They offer free ring sizing and can ensure you get the correct fit – especially important for Made-To-Order and Custom rings, as these are specially crafted for you. This guarantees the best fit without the need for resizing later.
If you're trying to find someone’s ring size secretly:
- Borrow a ring they wear on the correct finger and measure the diameter.
- Trace the inside of the ring on paper and compare it to our size guide.
- Ask friends or family if they know their ring size.
- Visit your local jeweler, or stop by Our Oslo Studio Store for the most accurate measurement.
- Not sure about the size? You can safely order the ring in our standard size EU 54, and we offer one free resizing afterward. All rings sold in a Ready-to-Ship size include free resizing, so you can be sure it will fit perfectly.
