A Gaselle company is one of Norway’s fastest-growing and most financially solid businesses. The recognition, awarded by Dagens Næringsliv, is given to companies that demonstrate strong growth over several years, double their revenue, operate profitably, and maintain a healthy financial foundation. Only about two percent of Norwegian companies qualify each year.

Nangi was founded in 2017 with a vision to bring together two worlds:

the clean aesthetic of Scandinavian design and the vibrant gemstone traditions of Sri Lanka.

The name Nangi, meaning “little sister” in Sinhala, reflects our roots and our commitment to supporting young girls in Sri Lanka through long-term educational initiatives.

This dual heritage has become the signature of our brand – and a driving force behind our growth.

In 2019, we made a defining choice: We became the first jewelry brand in Norway to fully embrace lab-grown diamonds.

At that time, the industry was skeptical. Today, the world has shifted:

• In 2024, lab-grown diamonds accounted for over half of engagement ring sales in the US
• Globally, the market share surpassed 52%, according to Rapaport Group

What began as a bold move has now become the new normal.

This transition has been a key contributor to our growth — and has allowed us to create jewelry that is both exquisite and responsible.

Our Ring Designer has empowered customers to explore shapes, stones, and settings in a more intuitive and personal way — a digital companion to the human experience in our showroom.
