Sapphire
Sapphires are celebrated for their extraordinary spectrum of natural color. Beyond the iconic blue, they occur in remarkable shades of green, teal, champagne, pink, yellow, violet, and combinations of several colors within a single stone.
At Nangi, every sapphire is sourced from Sri Lanka, an island renowned for its exceptional sapphires and centuries-long gemstone heritage. We are particularly drawn to stones with distinctive colors and individual character, from green and teal sapphires to soft champagne and pink hues, as well as bi-colored stones where different tones meet naturally within a single sapphire.
Sapphire belongs to the corundum mineral family, alongside ruby, and ranks 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Its exceptional hardness makes it particularly well suited to fine jewelry designed to be worn and treasured every day, including engagement rings.
No two sapphires are quite alike. Color, tone, saturation, clarity, and cut all contribute to the character of an individual stone. At Nangi, we look beyond specifications alone, selecting each sapphire for its distinctive color, proportions, and overall visual beauty.
For centuries, sapphire has been associated with royalty, devotion, and romance. Traditionally symbolizing sincerity, truth, and faithfulness, it has long held a meaningful place in jewelry celebrating love and commitment.
Adams Peak Collection
The Adam’s Peak universe is inspired by the iconic mountain in Sri Lanka that has captivated travelers and pilgrims for centuries. At its heart are striking trillion-cut sapphires, one of Nangi’s signature expressions, their sharp, sculptural silhouette echoing the peak that inspired their name.
Each design embodies the duality that defines Nangi: where Scandinavian simplicity meets Sri Lanka’s extraordinary gemstone heritage. Strength meets softness. Structure meets light. Nature meets craftsmanship.
Timeless, distinctive, and full of character, Adam’s Peak is a tribute to remarkable sapphires, meaningful design, and the beauty that emerges when two worlds meet.
