Aquamarine
Aquamarine is celebrated for its serene spectrum of blue, ranging from delicate, almost crystalline tones to deeper shades of blue and blue-green. Its name derives from the Latin aqua marina, meaning “sea water”, a reference to
Aquamarine belongs to the beryl mineral family, alongside emerald, and owes its color to subtle traces of iron within its crystal structure. With a hardness of 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale, it is well suited to fine jewelry designed to be worn and treasured for years to come.
Color, clarity, cut, and carat weight all contribute to the character and beauty of an aquamarine. The gemstone is particularly admired for its exceptional clarity and luminous appearance. At Nangi, we select aquamarines for their color, proportions, clarity, and overall visual beauty.
For centuries, aquamarine has been closely connected to the sea. Sailors once carried the gemstone as a talisman for protection and safe passage across the water. Over time, it has also come to symbolize hope, harmony, and enduring love.
Signature Collection
The shape that carries the story of Nangi.
The Signature Collection is built around Nangi’s distinctive drop – a symbol inspired by rain meeting the contours of Sri Lanka, where our story began. The organic silhouette has been part of Nangi from the beginning, becoming an expression of both our origins and our design language.
From the pure signature drop sculpted in solid gold to extraordinary pear-cut diamonds in significant carat weights, the collection explores the same form through contrasts of expression and scale. A signature designed to be recognized as Nangi – with or without diamonds.
