A New Year, Defined by Intention

As the calendar turns to January, we welcome a new year filled with opportunities and celebrations. What better way to kick off the month than by exploring the captivating world of January's birthstone – the illustrious garnet. Known for its rich hues and symbolic significance, garnet is the perfect gem to add a touch of glamour to the start of the year.

For years, fine jewelry has been dominated by neutrals — white diamonds, clean lines, timeless minimalism. Still deeply loved. Still essential. But in 2026, something shifts. Color steps into the spotlight.

At the end of every year, we naturally look back. But this year feels different. 2025 marks eight years since Nangi began — eight years of learning, unlearning, building, doubting, trusting, adjusting, and continuing anyway. When we started, we never set out to build fast or loud. We wanted to build right. And eight years in, that intention still guides us.

When we visited the orphanage we support in Sri Lanka this summer, one thing quickly became clear: the beds the girls were sleeping on were no longer in good condition. Earlier this year, we had already provided new bed sheets for all the girls, but seeing the state of the beds and mattresses in person showed us that this was only a partial solution. Proper rest matters, and the existing beds were simply too worn to offer the comfort and support they should. After returning home, we decided to take the next step.
