Tourmaline is one of nature’s most versatile gemstones, admired for its incredible spectrum of colors – from delicate pastels to vivid greens, pinks, reds, blues, and even multicolored combinations. This dazzling variety makes tourmaline one of the most sought-after gemstones in fine jewelry.
As the birthstone of October, tourmaline symbolizes creativity, protection, and love – and at Nangi, we adore creating one-of-a-kind designs with this magical gem.

The name tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word toramalli, meaning “stone of mixed colors”. It is mined in Sri Lanka, Brazil, and several parts of Africa, and is considered one of the most color-diverse gemstones on earth.
Because of its unique ability to generate an electrical charge when heated or rubbed, tourmaline has long been known as “the electric stone”. Ancient alchemists believed it had mystical powers – even the ability to create gold!
October babies are especially lucky – they have not one, but two birthstones: tourmaline and opal. While opal is famous for its play of color, tourmaline is celebrated for its clean and vivid shades. Tourmaline is said to represent:
That makes tourmaline the perfect gift for an October birthday, a special anniversary, or even as a thoughtful wedding-day present.

Tourmaline comes in nearly every shade imaginable – each with its own symbolism:
Green tourmaline: Growth, vitality, and connection to nature.
Pink tourmaline: Love, friendship, and emotional balance.
Red tourmaline (rubellite): Passion and energy.
Blue tourmaline (indicolite): Calm, communication, and insight.
Bicolor or multicolored tourmaline (watermelon tourmaline): Harmony and balance between opposites.
At Nangi, we let the stone’s natural beauty guide our one-of-a-kind designs, ensuring every customer finds a gem that reflects their unique personality.

We love working with tourmalines because no two stones are ever the same. Each one brings a personal and timeless quality to the jewelry we create.
You’ll discover:
Custom tourmaline rings: crafted to your wishes, often paired with lab-grown diamonds or other gemstones
Limited edition collections: exclusive drops of unique tourmaline rings, designed to be just as distinctive as the person who wears them
Statement pieces: one-of-a-kind designs that showcase tourmaline in all its brilliance.
Insider tip: Many of our clients choose a tourmaline that matches their eye color, birth month, or a personal memory – making the piece deeply meaningful.
Tourmaline is durable, but like all fine gemstones, it deserves care:
Store separately to prevent scratches.
Clean gently with mild soap, warm water, and a soft brush.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals.
